Egg London’s Fridays bring together two legendary talents for their buzzing Garage Special as Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont returns to fire up the decks alongside

Shola Ama who delivers a stunning live show.

As one of the stalwarts of UK Garage, a champion of the genre in its infancy and now one of its most beloved forefathers, Matt 'Jam' Lamont's tireless involvement in the scene has been integral to the success of the movement as a whole. With a summer of festival sets and guest shows in Ibiza, Matt Jam touches down for Fridays at Egg LDN’s Garage Special.

A residency at South London's The Arches saw Lamont's career really sky-rocket back in 1993 when he teamed up with fellow DJ Karl 'Tuff Enuff' Brown, which birthed the now legendary production and remix team Tuff Jam. With a massive back catalogue of defining records, Matt 'Jam' continues to inspire and rock the party with his genre-mixing sets and productions on his Solo Recordings label.

Shola Ama is one of Britain’s most successful R&B artists: her debut album ‘Much Love’ sold over one million copies, scoring Shola two top five singles with ‘You Might Need Somebody’ and ‘You’re The One I Love’. The success of 'Much Love' culminated in two MOBO award wins and two Brit Awards - the crowning achievement for an incredible journey. Massively in demand live, Shola is also working with a new generation inspired by the original UK garage sound such as A-List, a collective created by Wiley, and Giggs.

Rounding off the line up with the far-ranging DJ Marky B firing up sounds including HipHop to Funk, Drum & Bass, and most forms of House music.
