The number of Ukrainians who left Ukraine to the EU with biometric passports exceeded 50 thousand people, - reports The State Border Service of Ukraine.
According to the operative data of the State Border Service of Ukraine, since the entry into force of the non-visa regime for the border crossing of the countries of European Community as of 6.00 on June 15, almost 260 thousand compatriots have left for the EU. This is stated in a press release of the SBSU.
Using biometric passports, more than 51 thousand Ukrainian citizens, of whom 6,380 of the documents had only a biometric passport, moved to the European Union.
1373 citizens proceeded through the air checkpoints; the rest used railway transport or crossed the border at automobile checkpoints.
From the beginning of visa-free travel at the border crossing, there were 9 citizens of Ukraine denied, mainly in connection with the violation of the migration legislation of the countries of Russian Federation during the previous visit.
