At the Costa Coffee shop at the Waterloo subway station, employees refused to serve the client because he brought a homeless man, to whom he wanted to buy food. Forty years old Adrian Pinsen met a homeless man at a metro station and decided to treat him to dinner. He invited him to Costa Coffee and offered to choose something. However, when Adrian was already going to pay for the sandwich and Pepsi bottle chosen by his companion, the coffee shop workers refused to serve him.
Barista explained to the man that if the coffee shop feeds the homeless, police and station security will come. Adrian simply left on the bar £ 10 and took the food, but was very disappointed with the policy of the institution. After the video with this incident got to the network, an official representative of Costa Coffee said that this was a misunderstanding, and there are no rules that prohibit the ordering of food for homeless people.
