The municipal council of London ordered the developer of the Tower Hamlets to open a gay bar in a new residential complex. In addition, special inspections will come and check the "gay" level of the bar. So, builders of a new high-rise in Tower Hamlets will be allowed to finish this project, provided that a gay pub where gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders can spend time will be opened. This institution must work at least 12 years.
It should be noted that this requirement has arisen because of the fact that since 2006, 7 of 10 gay bars have been closed in this area. Also, it should be stressed, here that this trend is also observed in the rest of the capital, where about 58% of establishments for people of non-traditional sexual orientation have been closed over the past 10 years.
