Six guns stolen in Huron County break-in, police say

Nearly $5,000 worth of hunting equipment, including a half-dozen guns, was stolen from a rural property west of Stratford over the long weekend.

The break-in happened at a home on Kirkton Road in South Huron some time between 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Monday, Huron OPP said.

A duffle bag containing two shotguns, four rifles, a jack knife and duck decoys, was taken from the house, police said.

The stolen items are worth $4,700, police said.
