Celebrate the shades of autumn with the Royal Horticultural Society

Immerse in a harvest haven and a visual feast with the Royal Horticultural Society this autumn.

The RHS is giving keen gardeners and beginners the chance to learn how to make the most of their Autumnal oasis with welcomes the return of its Autumn Garden Show from October 25 – 26, in the RHS Lindley and RHS Lawrence Horticultural Halls.

The event will showcase floral installations from the RHS Floral Artist in Residence 2017, Electric Daisy Flower Farm and an array of features from gold-medal winning designer Paul-Hervey Brookes.

Foodies can indulge in an indoor foraging forest installation full of unusual edibles offering a menu of seasonal ingredients whilst those who prefer a hands-on can splurge in the abundance of shopping opportunities with seasonal collections.

Rare and unusual plants will be available from growers such as The Botanic Nursery, Plantbase and Harperley Hall Farm Nurseries, while new floral stands include Calamazag Nursery, Strictly Daylilies and Ashwood Nurseries.

Visitors can get their hands dirty with seasonally-focused workshops – from floral design, to autumn leaf-crafting and micro-green sowing – plus plenty of advice and everything you need to know about this season’s planting from the experts.

Other highlights will see inspiring talks from renowned horticulturists and gardening presenters Anne Swithinbank who will be discussing ‘Foraging from the Garden’ and Nick Bailey on ‘Unusual Edibles in the City’.
