A hammer gang snatched jewellery from a vulnerable elderly woman as she slept.
The gang forced its way into the woman's home, ransacked it and threatened her and her partner with hammers and screwdrivers - writes itv.
They also threatened a man in the property in Hounslow, west London, before taking the pensioner's jewellery.
During the raid around 10:40pm on August 19, they stole a 'significant' amount of jewellery and watches before leaving the scene in a silver car, possibly an Audi.
The suspects are all described as white and spoke with Irish accents.
One suspect was described as approximately 6ft tall and aged in his 50s, and the other suspects, who are believed to be in their late teens to early 20s, were approximately 5ft 7ins tall.
This was a horrible crime in which a vulnerable woman had her property removed from her person as she lay in what should have been the safety of her own bedroom.
I would urge anyone with information regarding these men, or who saw a silver car parked in the vicinity of the house that night to contact us.
It is vitally important that these men are caught before they harm anyone else.
– DETECTIVE CONSTABLE MATTHEW BURT, HOUNSLOW CID
