Racist graffiti etched on cars in private lot

Vandalised cars and damage to the underground car park at Aston House, Academy Central

A resident at Aston House, part of the Academy Central development in Longbridge Road, spotted the hateful signs and called police at 9.52pm on Sunday - informed barkinganddagenhampost.

Multiple cars in the building’s premium underground car
 park were damaged, including
a navy blue Mercedes with
the initials ‘NF’ (National Front) etched into the bonnet and side. Another, a grey Kia, had a large Nazi swastika on its bonnet.

The building’s stairwell door had been broken down, said one resident who asked not to be named.

“It is very distressing,” he said.

Police confirmed a number of cars in the area of
Longbridge Road and Campus Avenue have been reported as damaged, with one caller reporting graffiti of a racist nature.

Enquiries continue with no arrests made.
