Nominations are now open for the 2017 Pride of Brent Awards, the new name for the ‘Brent Community Champions’ award scheme.
Help us celebrate the people who put the Pride in Brent
Just like the Brent Community Champions scheme, the Pride of Brent Awards celebrate those selfless individuals, community groups and local businesses who contribute so much to the borough and who have gone the extra mile to make Brent a better place to live and work in 2017 - informed brent.gov.uk.
They come from all walks of life, from different backgrounds, ages and cultures. The positive impact of their work can be seen throughout life in Brent.
Leader of the Council, Cllr Muhammed Butt, said: “We need to celebrate and publicly thank all of the people, local groups and businesses who are doing their very best for their fellow Brent residents.
“We are very lucky to have people in Brent who dedicate enormous amounts of time and energy to helping others in need, giving up days, weeks or even years, and quite often overcoming their own personal difficulties to do so.
“I would urge Brent residents to give real thought to those who contribute the most to their community, then go to the website and complete a nomination form today.”
