In London, a new application for calling a taxi was launched. It is expected that it will become a direct competitor to Uber, but it will be 10% cheaper. The Taxify application was launched in London yesterday after checking three thousand private drivers for compliance with local licensing requirements. Now 40,000 drivers work for Uber and 3 million Londoners use the application. Taxify is not so popular. Now the application works only in 25 cities around the world, unlike Uber, which boasts with a number of 600 cities. But the new application will allow passengers to pay less for the trip, and drivers will save a larger share of profit. For example, Taxify takes only 15% of the commission for booking through its application, while Uber takes 20-25%. The application already works in several cities in Central and Eastern Europe and Africa, and soon starts working in Paris.
