The bridge theatre to open

London’s getting a brand new theatre, the first time a proper commercial one has opened in town for decades, and it looks set to be a big hit. The Bridge Theatre will be home to the London Theatre Company and will show mainly new productions with the odd classic thrown in, and with an adaptable auditorium that can hold 900 people, watching a show there will be quite an experience. On top of that, they’ve brought in St John to take care of the food at the foyer bar and cafe, where you can have everything from pastries and doughnuts to sandwiches like cold roast lamb with aioli and small plates like smoked mackerel with horseradish alongside natural wines. You can even pre-order those famous madeleines so you can get them fresh out of the oven at interval time. Beats a bag of crisps any day.

Opens October 2017
