Next Thursday, the London Underground will stop working

The leaders of the London Underground warned passengers that next Thursday there will be a strike of the Aslef drivers. Most of the metro branches will be blocked, the buses will be overloaded, so Transport for London recommends walking if possible. Metro lines will be blocked by a strike, which was the result of a prolonged conflict over working conditions and a four-day workweek. The trade union does not guarantee that there will be no more strikes.

Attempts to reach agreement continue. "We inform our passengers that the work of the metro will be completely blocked if protests continue after October 5th. All other departments of TfL will work in normal mode, but the load on some of them will increase due to the fact that passengers will look for alternative routes," - a TfL spokesman said. Also, the agency reports that on the day of the strike, additional bus routes and bicycle rental outlets will be organized.
