YouTube star Adam Saleh's appearance in Ilford sees several 'crushed and injured'

Huge crowds waiting for a popular YouTube star has turned to chaos after a number of people have been left injured after being crushed in the melee.

The YouTube sensation Adam Saleh was scheduled to make an appearance outside Costa Coffee on Cranbrook Road but the Met Police has warned him and fans to stay away following chaotic scenes shortly before 4pm today (September 30).

The Redbridge team of the Met Police took to Twitter to advise that Costa is now shut, with some fans being crushed and injured. Members of the public are being urged to avoid the area.

It is believed as many as 400 people turned up for the Meet and Greet, with 'more than 10 police cars' lining the roads and buses unable to get through to Ilford Station.

Saleh, who has 367,000 Twitter followers made headlines in December 2016 after posting videos claiming he had been removed from a Delta Airlines flights for speaking Arabic.
