Trains from London to Scotland are converted to hotels on wheels

Passengers traveling by Caledonian Sleeper trains can enjoy a "trip in the hotel" - trains are equipped double rooms and wagons with double beds. As part of the modernization of the night rail service between London and Scotland, 75 wagons are planned to be converted. The amount of the project is 150 million pounds.

According to the operators, the new trains, which will operate from the spring of 2018, will significantly improve customer service. New trains will provide a unique journey in the style of the hotel, a fresh and relaxed awakening and comfortable pastime at night. In all wagons there will be Wi-Fi, comfortable armchairs, additional food points, and in hotel rooms there is also a bath.

- Traveling with the Caledonian Sleeper will destroy all idea of of night trips. Supporting comfort and convenience allows you to keep your strength before a new working day, - says the head of the company Peter Stretchen.
