Londoners will hear Big Ben ringing in November

Ringing of the bell of the legendary Big Ben will be heard in London after a three-month break. This will happen on November 9th, before Remembrance Day. Though, the mayor's office does not recommend checking the clocks with the well-known chimes, as after a long break "there may be inaccuracies in time."

Should be recalled that Big Ben is now under reconstruction, the bell is off. It is known that on November 9th the first bell will sound and the clock setting process will begin. Next, Big Ben will please people with the exact time until November 12th, after what the clock will be turned off again.

Reminding, that Big Ben was disabled on August 21st in connection with the beginning of large-scale restoration work. According to the preliminary plan, the restoration will last four years. The mechanism of the bell, which does not require restoration, was decided to be stopped, as its loud sound is a tangible threat to the health and safety of workers involved in reconstruction.
