Pop-up restaurant dedicated to Halloumi cheese

In November, an unusual pop-up restaurant will appear in London, which will be dedicated to Halloumi cheese. Interestingly, the initiator of this project is the Cyprus Tourism Organization. The purpose of the action is to introduce amazing national dishes of Cyprus to the residents of the capital, so that Londoners have a desire to visit the island.

What is Halloumi? This is the cheese that has been cooked in Cyprus since medieval Byzantium. The product has white flesh with characteristic layered texture resembling mozzarella. Salty taste of halloumi is often supplemented with mint. This cheese can be fried until a brown crust is formed, without fear that it will melt. Therefore, it is often used as an ingredient for fried or grilled food.

The chef of the pop-up restaurant Francis Puyat has prepared an interesting menu for the guests, based, of course, on the cheese. By the way, gourmet can have even ice cream from cheese! For many residents of London, such a dinner or supper is an opportunity to try something new and unusual.
