Bringing Christmas cheer to Hillingdon
Residents are being invited to come along to the Christmas lights switch on in Uxbridge on Sunday 19 November - writes hillingdon.gov.uk.
The Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr Carol Melvin, will be turning the Christmas tree lights on outside the tube station at 5pm.
Proceeding the switch on there will be a parade through the town centre organised by Uxbridge BID (Business Improvement District) in conjunction with Pavilions and INTU shopping centres.
The Mayor will be switching on the Christmas lights in Hayes town centre on Wednesday22 November at St Anselm's Church, Station Road. The Schools' Community Choir Hayes will perform a short concert in the church from 4pm. The Mayor will turn on the Christmas tree lights inside the Church at 4.30pm at the same time as the rest of the town centre lights and main tree in Station Road are scheduled to be lit.
The Schools' Community Choir Hayes is made up of children from a collection of Hayes Schools who are part of the Schools Community Cohesion Partnership.
