Meet A Single Man In London – Use Your Laptop

When I was divorced my continuous question was: Where can I meet a single man from London that I would want to spend my time with? I had already tried to meet singles online and the men I met there I was not interested in.

Some were married; others were just looking for a one night stand. Going to bars did not interest me anymore than speed dating. What is a woman to do I whined and that is when I got the idea to use my laptop to meet singles in London area.

I started thinking of ways to easily and naturally be in a setting where single guys might be. So at this point I decided to set up an experiment for myself to see if my idea would work.

The first thing I did research on were all the trendy and popular coffee houses in my area that had comfortable tables, chairs and couches where people would hang out while drinking their coffee.

This is where I discovered what I called my 2 for 1. Now I started to get very excited about this experiment that I had immersed myself in. Once I was satisfied that I had completed all of my research I was now ready to move to the next step to test my idea out.

With my laptop in hand I went to my 2 for 1 discovery. It was the coffee shop inside Borders bookstore. I called it my 2fer because not only were people hanging out drinking coffee but they were also reading books and magazines.

You can learn a lot about a man by paying attention to his reading material. I entered the coffee shop inside the bookstore at exactly 7:00 PM on a Friday night. It was during my research that I reasoned I had a better chance of finding available single men on a Friday night because that is a go out to party night for the guys that are in a relationship.

Next, I scoped out the best place to sit that was near an outlet to plug in my laptop. Once I got my laptop setup and positioned myself to be facing the area where people entered and looked for seating I went and got myself a large mocha coffee. Back at the table with my coffee I opened up my research file on my laptop and opened a page where I could take notes.

I wanted to record everything related to this experiment. I also opened up another project that I had been working on where I had been writing out the characteristics of the type of men I was interested in meeting. The strategy for conducting this experiment was to put myself in a setting where people would come and read or work on their laptops.

I wanted a place that would lend itself to have a conversation or even just a few words with a stranger. A coffee shop inside a bookstore was the ideal setting for my requirements. Now the reasoning behind bringing my laptop was it was normal to be staying a while to get work done on your computer.

It made me feel more comfortable that I had a purpose to be there and this helped me feel less awkward and more comfortable. Well I’m excited to tell you on that first Friday night I was able to chat with several different guys and actually exchanged email addresses with one of them.

My experiment turned out to be so successful that I continued to do this for quite sometime often going to different coffee shops and bookstores within my area.

And I discovered that Friday nights and Sundays afternoons between 4:30 and 7:30 were the best times to meet a single man. I recommend you try this out for yourself and see what happens.

I believe you will be pretty enthusiastic about the results and you will enjoy the experience.

Please leave me a comment about what you think of this idea or other things that have worked for you to meet single men.
