Isle of Dogs stabbing: Woman arrested after man knifed to death in east London

A womanwas arrested on suspicion of murder today after a man was stabbed to death in east London.

Police were called at 8.26am to reports of a stabbing at a flat in Manchester Road on the Isle of Dogs - writes standard.co.uk.

Paramedics gave him emergency treatment but he died at the scene.

A woman in her 20s was arrested and taken to an east London police station.

Police said they were not seeking anyone else in connection with the death and the couple are believed to have been known to each other.

It is the latest in a spate of more than 50 killings in London already this year.
