Summer reading challenge volunteers wanted!

Bexley Libraries are looking for volunteers to help run the annual Summer Reading Challenge that takes place in all libraries from 14 July – 8 September 2018.

Every year children all across the borough take part in the challenge that asks them to read six books over the summer holiday. At the end of the challenge participants receive a special certificate and medal.

Last year an impressive 4,782 children and young people from Bexley took part.

Volunteers will talk to children and young people about the books they have read and encourage them to join in and complete the challenge.

Volunteers must be aged 15 and over.

Find out more about the role or ask at your local library.

The closing date for applications is 2 June 2018
