She’s worked tirelessly to support those battling mental health issues in Haringey and now Pamela Anomneze has been given a very special reward – an invite to the Royal Wedding.
Royal wedding invite for Haringey’s Pamela
Pamela, project manager at Wood Green’s Studio 306, which supports recovery through arts and crafts, will be helping Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrate on May 19, with a party for 2,640 people at Windsor Castle.
Kensington Palace said invites were sent to those who have made a difference in their community.
I believe this is not only my glory, but the glory of Studio 306, and of the whole of Haringey – I’m a proud Haringey person. When I got my invite I was shocked and excited, I had no idea whatsoever. I thought it might be a prank, an April fool. I don’t know what I’m going to wear – I’m going to be representing the whole borough and North London. It’s a big decision. I would definitely like to wear some of the silver jewellery we make at Studio 306. I’ll be taking my 15-year-old son as my guest – he’s a massive fan of Meghan’s TV show Suits. He’s over the moon!”
Studio 306 is a social enterprise where talented members make and sell their products in a buzzing art studio. They also sell their creations at local markets. Products range from jewellery, handmade cards, T-shirts, and Haringey landmark mugs. The money they make funds classes for locals who want a safe space to learn new skills.
It’s great that when people come and see Studio 306 they obviously recognise what we do. It’s most important to me that from all of this people know more about Studio 306. I want people to know that it’s a place for the whole of the Haringey community. It’s a catalyst for mental health recovery. Our people are passionate – we want everyone to know that if you have a breakdown, it’s not the end of life, it can be a pathway for people to discover something new.
