Teen dies after being pulled from partially submerged vehicle

A teen died Friday after a vehicle flipped and was partially submerged in a water-filled ditch.

The vehicle carrying a male and female, both 18, went off Border Road in Wallaceburg at about 8:20 p.m. and landed upside down in the ditch, Chatham-Kent police said - writes lfpress.com

A volunteer firefighter and a police officer removed the teens from the vehicle, police said.

Emergency personnel provided first aid to the teens at the scene.

The female was taken toSydenham District Hospital where she died from her injuries, police said.

The malewas treated for hypothermia atSydenham District Hospital and transferred to Hotel-Dieu Windsor.

Police didn’t release the names of the teens.
