“We had gone in just after 6pm on April 13 and we had no problems at all while we waited for our dinner, but, as we waited for the kids’ puddings to be brought out, it all happened.
“We were sitting on the carpet singing nursery rhymes to occupy them when another family turned round and said 'if you cant control your f*****g children, you should take them to Wacky Warehouse' or something.
“I couldn’t believe it so I complained to the management, but they told us to control our children or we would have to leave the pub.
“They stated they had checked their CCTV and said our kids had been running riot, which was rubbish.
“The whole episode has totally put my whole family off going out. We come here for special occasions. I certainly will not be going here again."
Emma entered the pub just after 6pm last week with her partner and her children Marlow, aged four and two-year-old Maisie.
The family ordered dinner and then puddings, spending "up to £35".
Shocked and saddened by what she heard, Miss Alldridge made a formal complaint to the management and asked for a refund. The family were allegedly refused this.
She said: “I would not be so passionate or upset about this had I been in the wrong, but the fact is my family did nothing wrong.
“It is not even about the refund any more, I just want an apology for the way we were treated.
“This should not have happened and it has had an impact on my whole family.”
Staff at the pub said Miss Alldridge’s children were running around the pub.
They said they had to walk around the venue, after Ms Alldridge and her family had left, to apologise for the children's behaviour.
Pippa Weaver, owner of King Henry's Taverns, who runs the pub,said: "The Ragley Boat Stop is a great family pub.
“We have two children’s menus. One for two to seven-year-olds and a menu for eight to 11-year-olds.
“All the children’s meals come with a free ice cream and choice of sauces. These menus were designed by our children.
"Ms Alldridge emailed me on April 13. She stated that she had visited our pub that evening and her children were singing nursery rhymes and dancing to keep occupied as we didn’t have any entertainment for them.
"Ms Alldridge was asked nicely by a customer on a nearby table and our management team to get her children to sit at the table, she was provided with a high chair for her smallest child.
"Her children were running around the pub disturbing our other customers.
"Ms Alldridge was upset that we wouldn’t give her a refund, although she stated that there was nothing wrong with the food.
"In her second email to me she stated that her children did not leave their seats for 45 minutes. CCTV shows that this is not the case.
"You stated to me that Ms Alldridge, her partner and children were asked to leave, this is incorrect. She was not asked to leave.
“She left of her own accord, unhappy that she didn’t have a refund.
“She has also stated to you that another family told her to go to a Wacky Warehouse if she couldn't control her children.
"They would not have said that if they were just 'sitting on the carpet'.
"Our management team had to walk around the pub after Ms Alldridge and her family had left to apologise for her behaviour.
"We love children, my husband and I have raised eleven children between us.
"Our children have been taught to sit at a table when we go out.
"Everyone in a pub or restaurant is entitled to an enjoyable evening. We’d be mortified if our children interrupted someone else’s meal out."
