Border Guards confiscated 50 crocodiles, illegally imported into the UK, at London's Heathrow Airport.
It is noted that the one-year-old crocodiles arrived from Malaysia were to be delivered to one of the farms near Cambridge. This was planned to do for breeding and eating them. However, during transportation, transportation rules were violated - there were 50 reptiles in five containers. When each container is designed to carry only four crocodiles.
"Crocodiles began to attack each other during the flight, because the space was very limited," - said the Border Guard officer.
According to him, one of the crocodiles died, but the rest of the animals are now safe and waiting to be returned to their homeland.
