English law provides tax benefits for married couples. Likely you did not even know about this possibility. How to use this right and what is needed for this?
The Taxes and Duties Office reported that for the couple, the UK government has established tax incentives. And, although they exist since 2015, people practically do not use them. Probably because they simply do not know about this possibility.
Married couples who meet certain conditions can qualify for tax benefits of £230 per year. The application for them was filed only by 2.2 million couples from 4.3 million families who have the right to do so.
Steve Webb, Director of Royal London Policy, called for the correction of this deplorable situation and the use of tax incentives: "If the family is very limited in finance, I encourage it to check whether it is eligible to benefits. Thanks to this you can claim a one-time benefit and save significantly."
Steve Webb also noted that he understands that because of the complicated system of registration of benefits, some do not use their legal right. But now the Taxes and Duties Office simplified the procedure for issuing the necessary documents and held several social campaigns. Now there is an increase in the number of applications.
