Saving is easy: 6 best loyalty cards in popular British stores and coffee shops

Many people have loyalty cards in purses, but do you know how to make the most profit of them?

Nectar card, Sainsbury's

You get 1 point for each £1 spent in Sainsbury's, but with a Nectar American Express card you will receive 2 points for each £1. Points do not disappear if the account is inactive for 12 months.

Some changes were made to the system of accumulating points last week. You will still receive £2.50 for 500 points. But now there is an additional scheme of "goals", which include expensive products, for example, champagne - for its purchase, 4,000 points are added on a loyalty card.

Sparks - M&S

For each purchase you are given 10 points, and also one point for every 10 pennies spent. Points are not converted into money, but the card opens to buyers access to exclusive masterclasses and presents individual discount programs.

When registering with the loyalty program, you need to specify your interests and hobbies, and you will receive special offers that are not available to regular customers in the stores of the network on the basis of this list.

Tesco Clubcard

Points are accumulated at a rate of 1 point for £1 spent. If in three months you earn more than 150 points, Tesco will transfer them to Clubcard-vouchers, which you can use in the store or online.

Advantage Card - Boots

You get 4 points for each £1 spent in the store or online. To increase the number of points, you should postpone large purchases to Mega Points Weekends. In this case, for the spent £50, you will receive 1000 additional points. Also you can subscribe to the newsletter to receive individual offers via e-mail. Keep in mind that points are gone if they are not used for two years.

Costa Coffee Club - Costa

For each £1 spent you are credited with 5 points. Accumulated 100 points are equated to £1. You can spend money on food and drinks in any of Costa's coffee houses.

At present, loyalty cards are automatically credited with 100 points to new owners. It should be noted that inactive cards lose all their points after a year.

My Rewards - Starbucks

The point is credited to the loyalty card for each purchase at Starbucks - regardless of the final bill amount. You can order a free drink as soon as you have 15 points. However, not all drinks fall under this scheme and not all branches of the coffee house network participate in it.

To create a My Rewards loyalty card, you need to be a Starbucks cardholder, which you need to top up with at least £5.

Points for My Rewards are valid for two years.
