All you need to know about scholarships for future social workers

If you study for a social worker, you have the right to a social scholarship.

Social scholarship of social workers:

helps with living expenses and training;

does not depend on your family income;

does not require a return.

What you get

The scholarship for social work is a scholarship that does not depend on your family income and which you do not need to return.

The amount you receive depends on the following factors:

places of study;

training load (full or incomplete);

of the cost of your training.

How is the social scholarship paid?

Social scholarship is paid in three parts, one per semester.

If you are disabled

You can get additional help if you are disabled and receive postgraduate education.

Who can receive a social scholarship?

A scholarship for social work is available for students who:

study for a social worker and do not receive funding from the employer;

study for a bachelor's degree or receive postgraduate education in the field of social work;

study for a social worker and do not yet have a higher education in the specialty of "social work".

Find out at the university or college if your course meets these conditions.

You cannot qualify for a social scholarship if you are studying on the training courses directly in the workplace, including the courses of the Open University of Great Britain.

How to apply for a social scholarship

Download the required forms from the NHS Business Services Authority website.

The deadline for applying depends on when you start the course: in autumn or winter.

Documents confirming your identity

Probably, you will need to confirm your identity by sending a birth certificate and a valid passport.
